CARE ADVICE
For day to day care of your QC Scarf  we recommend either folding flat or rolling up {As in Photo} rather than left hanging on a peg or hook.
Store your  all Quinton Chadwick accessories over the warmer months  in an airtight / vacuum packed bag or moth proof cupboard.
Use a de-fluff roller to decrease fluff build up or pilling.
Take care with jewellery as some yarns are quite delicate and can pull or snag.

WASHING
All our Quinton Chadwick jumpers and accessories can be either dry cleaned or washed by hand in cool [not warm] water using a mild detergent such as woolite. Soak rather than rub, rinse by hand (add fabric conditioner if desired) then place in a pillowcase and fast spin to remove excess water.

Re-shape and dry flat away from direct heat such as a hot radiator.

  • Soft and luxurious fibres such as the supersoft wool used in our sweaters are shorter staple fibres gently twisted as woollen spun yarns in order to preserve their luxurious handle and light weight. As such, some degree of pilling can be expected on this product in the initial stages. It is a natural occurrence on a new knitted garment as the extraneous loose fibres in the twist are shed through first wear. The gentle use of a cashmere comb for example will remove this excess “pilled” fibre and will settle once the garment is in use and loose fibres are shed. It is important to note that this phenomenon will not recur over time as this is the action of the loose fibres coming to the surface through initial use. Pilling is not a sign of poor quality but simply an inevitable part of owning a product in a soft and light yarn which is woollen spun for softness and loftiness of handle. Heavy worsted spun sweaters in tough scratchy fibres will never pill because their structure is long staple fibres and worsted spun which is an immensely tight twist process. This is impossible to replicate in soft woollen spun yarns as their fibre structure is short staple and the incredible softness which makes the product so desirable makes the fibres more delicate.
